The agreement between you and GHOHARY when you browse our website, place an order, or visit our atelier.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the GHOHARY website at www.ghohary.com and any purchase you make through it. By browsing the site or placing an order, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
GHOHARY is a couture house headquartered in Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us”, “our”, and “GHOHARY” refer to the operating entity behind the brand. For all enquiries: s.ghohary@gmail.com or +971 56 503 8080.
Every GHOHARY piece sold through this website is hand-cut, embroidered, and assembled to your order in our Deira, Dubai atelier. Production typically takes four to six weeks from the moment payment is confirmed. Pre-orders may take longer; the estimated window is shown on each product page.
An order is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order before production begins, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing error, or unavailable inventory; in such cases we will refund any payment in full.
Prices are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) by default. A currency selector is provided for convenience; the rate shown is approximate and your card issuer may apply a different conversion rate. The currency in which your card is charged is the currency displayed at checkout.
UAE VAT (5%) is included in the displayed price for orders shipped within the United Arab Emirates. For international orders, prices are exclusive of any import duties, customs charges, or local sales taxes; these are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected by the courier on delivery.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. We do not see, store, or have access to your full card number. Orders are confirmed only when payment is successfully captured.
Pieces are shipped from our Deira atelier via tracked courier. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout based on your destination. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Title in the goods passes to you when payment is captured. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
Each piece is hand-cut, embroidered, and assembled to your order. Production begins as soon as payment is confirmed, and all sales are final from that moment. This is consistent with the made-to-order exemption recognised by EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Article 16(c)), the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and UAE Federal Law No. 15/2020 (Article 19). All content on this site — including but not limited to imagery, text, sketches, logos, and the underlying website design and code — is the property of GHOHARY or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute, modify, or commercially exploit any of this content without our prior written permission.
The name “GHOHARY” and the GHOHARY mark are trade marks of the brand and may not be used without authorisation.
You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with the site’s normal operation, use automated tools to scrape or harvest data, submit false or fraudulent information, place orders you do not intend to pay for, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately at s.ghohary@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You may close your account at any time from the account settings page or by writing to us.
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We take care to ensure product images and descriptions are accurate, but slight variations in colour, embroidery placement, and finish are inherent to handcrafted couture and are not considered defects. The website and its content are provided “as is” without any warranty beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GHOHARY’s total liability to you arising out of or in connection with any order or your use of the website is limited to the price you paid for the relevant order. We do not exclude or limit liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, courier strikes, supplier failures, or interruptions to telecommunications and power.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the moment you place an order is the version that governs that order. Material changes will be notified by email to registered customers and shown on the site for thirty (30) days.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable to the Emirate of Dubai, by the laws of Dubai. Subject to your mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence (which we do not seek to override), you and we agree that the courts of Dubai shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction. EU and UK consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.
